• We use all official D&D rules unless otherwise noted.
• The D&D Game Rule FAQ clears up some finer points.
• We use the variable initiative rule.
  
• We're using Sean Reynolds' slower dying rule.
• Feel free to play Monte Cook's alternate ranger.
  
• Dragon Magazine #293 has a list of ECLs (Equivalent Character Levels) for a bunch of monsters. They seemed too high. So I'm going to suggest that unless an official product (such as the FRCS) has a different level, go with this guy's list (but not his other rules).
